In any wireless scenario, speed and distance will vary from room to room. Anything within the 2.4 GHz (microwave) spectrum may affect your wireless connectivity and speed. Signal penetration through walls will depend on the density of the walls. 802.11b/802.11g is the standard for wireless technology, with transfer rate speeds of up to 11Mbps/ 54 Mbps. In addition, to help protect your computer from hackers or others who may try to intrude on your wireless connection, Verizon strongly recommends that you use the WEP security function of the wireless gateway. The Verizon High Speed Internet Extended Service Plan is a broadband equipment protection plan that was developed just for our High Speed Internet (HSI) customers. It allows for the replacement of modems or gateways (routers) for as long as you subscribe to Verizon High Speed Internet for Business and the plan. The plan covers any defects or loss of function due to normal use.

For help in replacing your equipment covered by a service plan, simply contact Tech Support. A support specialist will diagnose and replace your equipment at no charge for equipment or freight should your equipment be deemed defective while you subscribe to the plan. An advance replacement is sent overnight to you with a prepaid label to return the defective equipment.

Contact your local business office to order. This number can be found on the front of your Verizon bill or you may call 1-800-533-4711 to place an order.
Billing
Billing for the Service Plan will start after your initial warranty has expired or upon date of purchase of the plan if your warranty has previously expired.
Cancellation
The plan is optional. You can cancel your Service Plan at any time with no further obligation.
